The dream many Panamanians fulfill when they are an adult making decent wage is a visit to Disney World. As children, this opportunity is less realistic. But as an adult, Disney World is up there on a list along with Coiba as places they will eventually visit in due time.
Because it is relatively close, Panamanian adults often choose to bring family with them with the thought of offering their kids a better childhood than they had. Disneyland is no New York, but it is highly favored amongst Panamanians with money. Statistically, more than 9 out of 10 wealthy Panamanians own a photo with Mickey.
Another reason Panamanians like visiting Disney World is because it shares a lot of the same qualities as Panama such as long lines, fried foods, and Spanish-speaking employees.

This actually one of the few that made me laugh a little bit and didn’t come across as an unfairly cheapshot because it does have some truth to it as far Panamanians wanting to go there (not for the reason this horse’s ass puts there).
There is no sense in denying that many Panamanians that are able to travel out of the country on vacation, have the U.S. and Disney on their list of ideal places.
Amusement parks are fun, even during adulthood. Nothing wrong with that but I really don’t see what the big deal about Disney is, specially if you don’t have kids.
